Hi, little reader friends! Hannah here of Little Hilltop Home.
On Sunday we had the most beautiful snow that fell in our area! The rolling hills around our house were absolutely COVERED in snowflakes, and they just kept coming and coming !
Winter is never my favorite season of the year, unless we’re talking about a snowy winter day! I know not everyone loves snow, but to this stay-at-home mama who has nowhere to go, they’re my favorite.
That being said, our recent snow day inspired a new crochet pattern that I designed. It’s super simple, so I’d consider this pattern very beginner friendly. That is, as long as you know how to do the half double crochet stitch.
These are the supplies that you’ll need
11.5 mm crochet hook
One ball of Bernat Blanket #6 Super Bulky Polyester Yarn, color white
Scissors to cut yarn when you are finished
Optional : a different color of Bernat Super Bulky Yarn for a border
Abbreviations
Ch = chain
HDC = half double crochet
Pattern
Row 1 : Ch 111
Row 2 : Begin in the second ch from hook, HDC across
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, HDC in every stitch across
Row 4-10: REPEAT ROW 3 until you have ten rows in total
Cut off & weave in your ends
And that’s all! Ten rows of fluffy half double crochet goodness. Whip these up for Christmas for your family, change up the colors, and have fun with it! Add other decorations to it, like hearts & snowflakes!
I hope you are able to enjoy these blankety scarves on every other snowy day this winter (preferably with a BIG mug of hot chocolate)!

Till next time,
